“Since the outbreak of the epidemic, China has felt the difficult situation faced by the Afghan people as if it was happening to itself. The Chinese government has provided all kinds of aids to the best of abilities, including anti-epidemic supplies, many times to the Afghan government.

In this handover, the supplies that China provided to Afghanistan included tents, blankets and daily necessities.

The Afghan government expressed its gratitude to the Chinese people and government for continued donations, and promised to distribute these supplies to the people who need them in all provinces as soon as possible.Hoping these supplies will largely promote Afghanistan’s disaster emergency response capacity and enable the people to have housing and safety,” said Wang.

Wang also emphasized that China and Afghanistan are good neighbors, good friends and good partners. Since the beginning of this year, the Chinese government and military have sent multiple batches of anti-epidemic supplies to the Afghan government, including masks, protective suits, detection reagents, goggles, surgical gloves and non-contact forehead thermometers, helping the Afghan government meet urgent needs, he said.

China will continue to be committed to the peaceful reconstruction and economic development of Afghanistan.

And promote practical cooperation between China and Afghanistan in joint construction of the Belt & Road Initiative and in other fields, benefiting the people of both countries more with cooperation achievements, Wang said.
