China’s arduous epidemic prevention and control work against the coronavirus and its assistance to other Countries have allowed it to emerge as a Global Leader, said Yazeed Qasii, an Official from the Pakistani Government Think Tank.

As the United Nations is celebrating its 75th founding anniversary, Qasii described China as a strong pillar of the UN. He said that in face of the pandemic, China has not only proven itself to be an economic giant, but also a leading country in international humanitarian relief.

“China with its exemplary performance in the fight against COVID-19 not only provided health care, financial assistance to its citizens, but also took care of its allies, neighboring countries and several organizations, several countries across the globe. China emerged as a global leader,” he said.

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which was proposed seven years ago and has since gradually grown into a trade network of highways, pipelines and a flagship project under the Belt & Road Initiative.

The network has yielded fruitful results in the past seven years, and the two countries have been fully demonstrating the principle of win-win cooperation, he said.

“China and Pakistan not only share economic ties in the shape of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

China, although being severely disturbed and attacked by the novel coronavirus, still played an important role and provided all sorts of assistance to Pakistan, be it financial, be it aid, or any other” said Qasii.
