Congratulating China on the 40th anniversary of its reform and opening-up, Bangladeshi Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon told Xinhua in a recent interview that the policy has yielded a great success for China especially under the leadership of President Xi Jinping.

With reference to Xi’s speech at the grand gathering celebrating the anniversary on Tuesday, he said China and its leadership deserve a big round of applause particularly for their efforts in adopting and upholding the socialist economic system with Chinese characteristics.

The minister also expressed hope that China could help countries in need solve problems like poverty.
