The 2021 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) entered the second day. Cramming in the day were more than 20 activities including a range of panel discussions and sessions, focusing on global hot issues and post-pandemic development.

The four-day annual conference, with the theme “A World in Change: Join Hands to Strengthen Global Governance and Advance Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) Cooperation”, is scheduled to last till Wednesday in the coastal resort in South China’s Hainan Province.

The sub-forums discussed such topics as WTO reform, global food security, aging society, RECP and rural rejuvenation.

In addition, the forums discussed post-pandemic recovery and development, such as globalization, Artificial Intelligence, trade and circulation and ways of international cooperation and new infrastructure.

More than 2,600 people, including government officials, entrepreneurs and scholars from more than 60 countries and regions are attending the FA annual conference in person, together with 1,200 reporters from 160 media organizations in 18 countries and regions.

The BFA was founded in 2001. It is a non-governmental and non-profit international organization committed to promoting regional economic integration and bringing Asian countries closer to their development goals.
