Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday said that the second edition of China”s Belt and Road forum will be held on April 25-27 and will be the nation”s major international event in 2019.

About 37 heads of State and Government, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde are expected to attend the event, Wang announced at a press briefing.

Some of the Statesmen will carry out official visits to China.

Almost 5,000 representatives from 150 countries and 90 global organisations will arrive in Beijing.

About 4,000 national and foreign journalists were also accredited to cover the forum.

According to the foreign minister, this edition will be the major in events, since it will start on April 25 with 12 keynote speeches dedicated to many issues, including one with 800 businessmen. All of them will be focused on promoting the development of the project with high quality.
