Chinese companies have started joint production of COVID-19 vaccines with multiple countries in a joint effort to promote accessibility, affordability, and even distribution of vaccines worldwide.

China has so far provided vaccine assistance to more than 80 countries, helping them tackle their urgent needs in the pandemic fight and help save lives.

The joint ventures have been engaged mainly with China’s partners in building the “Belt and Road”, including Indonesia, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Malaysia, Pakistan, and Turkey.

To fight together with the international community in solidarity against the common health crisis, China has been making an all-out effort to promote the fair distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, honoring its commitment to making Chinese COVID-19 vaccines a “global public good” accessible and affordable to people around the world.

China signed an agreement with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, officially joining COVAX on Oct. 8, 2020. China has so far provided vaccine assistance to more than 80 developing countries, helping them solve their urgent needs and saving many lives.
