China’s Leading AI firm iFlytek has inked a sponsorship deal with RCD Espanyol as its Official Translation Partner.
Chinese Footballer Wu Lei, who transferred to Espanyol, has become the brand ambassador of the iFlytek Translator, the company’s flagship translation machine.
During the signing event in Barcelona, Wu said that the AI translation device is his ‘secret weapon,’ which has helped him learn Spanish and communicate with his teammates and club staff.
According to an iFlytek press conference in Beijing on Thursday, the first set of its new translation devices, the Translator 3.0 Lite have been received by RCD Espanyol and will be utilised to help train international players.
“With the aid of high-tech devices like iFlytek Translator, I hope more Chinese athletes will be able to go further in the international arena,” Wu said.
Through years of updates and development, the latest generation of iFlytek’s AI devices support real time translation between languages in almost 200 countries and regions around the world, including Persian, Lao, Urdu and languages spoken along the Belt & Road Countries, as well as between different dialects, said Zhai Jibo Manager of iFlyteck Translation.
“The device recognises both the voice and image, and boasts high translation accuracy when dealing with complicated sentence structures between Chinese & English.”
