The First Dialogue on exchanges and mutual learning among civilisations opened in Beijing’s iconic landmark Forbidden City on Thursday.
The Event gathered up to 100 participants from around the world to discuss how to build a beautiful world where different civilisations make exchanges and learn from each other, and allow them exist in harmony.
At the panel discussion, attendees hailed Chinese President Xi Jinping for his great visions like the Belt & Road Initiative and building a community with shared future for mankind, saying it’s China’s fresh contribution to the world’s civilisation.
They also called for closer exchanges among different cultures and civilisations on a basis of mutual respect and equality, as part of efforts to achieve common prosperity and progress of mankind.
Senior Chinese officials including Ji Bingxuan, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, and Song Tao, Head of International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, also addressed at the event organised by the Chinese Association for International Understanding.
