Authorities said on Monday that the Gross domestic product (GDP) of Hunan Province in China has increased 7.6 percent since the earlier year in 2019.

Authorities in the province have been increasing investments in research and development, it has over 6000 high-tech companies, and the high-tech sector in the sector saw a rise of around 14 percent in its added value since the earlier year.

The Province has also strongly participated in the Construction in the Belt & Road, having a rise of 55 % in trade volume since the past year with Countries on the Belt & Road in 2019, the import and export volume in Hunan has gone over USD 58 billion.

Authorities predict that the GDP in the province will rise 7.5 percent in 2020 and make plans to take its impoverished residents out of poverty.
