One of the First Chinese Restaurants to be awarded a Michelin Star will open its doors in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) early next year.
Hutong is a concept by acclaimed Restaurateur David Yeo, founder and CEO of Aqua Restaurant Group, which opened two more restaurants in New York and Miami in 2019.
Situated in the Legatum Plaza, Hutong in Dubai will feature interior design inspired by ‘The Four Arts of the Qing Dynasty and the border provinces of the Silk Road, boasting a hand-crafted sandstone wall that embodies the crossover between Chinese and Islamic design as well as a traditional Wishing Tree as an homage to the famous Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees in Hong Kong.
The venue, which is also present at London’s iconic Shard, is located on the ground and first floors of Gate Building 6 and will feature an Indoor Restaurant, a Lounge Bar, a Private Terrace and Two Private Dining Rooms.
The menu, which is designed by Yeo, will include signature Hong Kong and London dishes including the Red Lantern; crispy soft-shelled crab with dried chilli, and the Halibut Red Star Noodles, while the drinks menu will incorporate Chinese Spices and herbs to deliver elevated flavours.
