Russian Entrepreneur hoped China will continue pursuing green, open and shared development, and is eying more economic and trade opportunities with China after its annual political sessions, a major event in China’s Political Calendar includes the annual gathering of the top legislature and top Political Advisory Body.

Citing his experience during several visits to China for the past decade, Vitaly Mankevich, President of Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, praised improvement of China’s ecological environment which has left him deep impression.

“The sky in Beijing is always clean. In other cities, many companies with excessive emissions have been moved out of the the urban areas. It is a great achievement for such huge economy. I hope the ecological environment in China will get better and better in the next five to ten years,” Mankevich said.

Mankevich said he will closely follow the two sessions, especially discussions on how China will further open-up, hoping Russian companies will tap more business opportunities and deepen the trade cooperation between the two countries.

“We should work together to build the synergy between the Belt & Road Initiative which was put forward by President Xi Jinping, and Eurasian Economic Union. Such a international cooperation mechanism can provide opportunities for the export of Russian products to China and China’s investment in Russia and other Eurasian countries,” he said.

The 13th National People’s Congress, China’s national legislature, will start its fourth session on Friday, and the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the country’s national political advisory body, will begin its fourth session on Thursday.
