President Mnangagwa has said that Zimbabwe has rejected preconditions attached to the US$60 billion Africa Fund the USA has disbursed.
Addressing Domboshava residents during this month’s clean-up campaign, the President revealed that Africa is expected to vote alongside the United States of America at the United Nations for them to have access to the money.
This would be a violation of the agreement that was entered into between Africa and China during last year’s Forum for Africa China Cooperation Summit (FOCAC). The Asian giant, through its Belt and Road Initiative, has been persuading African Countries to vote alongside her at the United Nations.
Mnangagwa said that Chinese and American deals have similarities but were only contrasted by demands America is making.
He added that Zimbabwe was still open to re-engagement with any other Country.
